Peninsular rivers are seasonal in nature. This is because the source of these rivers is rain which depends on climate. Moreover, they have small courses and basins. They lie in plateaus and low hills which are devoid of snow.
These rivers drain into Bay of Bengal and only a few flow westwards into the Arabian Sea.
