People living closely with others create a dense population, this means that there are more people in a certain area so airborne diseases and germs can spread from person to person. Being in close proximity to others puts us at a higher risk of catching germs or diseases, a greater number of people touching door handles, being caught in the spray of someone’s sneeze etc
