why are people not interested in agriculture in india

Answer:
Because of issues like trouble from the middle-men or brokers and lack of knowledge about markets , farmers now a days are not getting the proper price for their goods. Where as they are spending more towards growing those crops. End result is that , they are facing losses.
Second reason . Either there's excess rain or no rain at all. This is the situation in many states of India. As a result , soil is losing it's fertility. So even if the farmer invested his blood and sweat , due to lack of rain or excess rain or just infertility of land , the crop fails.
Third reason. City life . Impact of education. Due to the above reasons , and because of education , usually the younger generation goes towards city life . And usually agriculture is not possible in cities. Especially in metropolitan cities where we barely get place to live , agriculture is impossible.
Fourth reason: Hybrid products. Laboratory products are creating havoc for the natural products in the market. They're attractive , lesser in cost , produced in short-term , available all the time irrespective of seasons. They're tough competitors to agriculture in a normal way.
