Why are peteroleum and natural gas popular sources of energy? Mention some of there uses?

Petroleum - We get petroleum from the fossil fuels which are formed by the decomposition of plants and animals in the sea. The layers of these waste get on in the process. And most important thing is we use it in cars.
Natural gas- The gas resources which are obtained by the natural process are called natural gas. CNG we also use it in vehicles and they are eco friendly
