Why are Plant Cells more rigid in shape than animal cells?

because they have cell wall as outermost covering which are rigid

Plant cells are more rigid because -

1. They have cell wall made of cellulose
2. They are supposed to be stationary whereas animal cell are designed for motion
3. Plant cells are often made of schelerenchyma cells whose function is to provide mechanical strength.
