▶plastic is non eco-friendly because Most plastics like PVC, polyethylene are made from oil. Oil production is one of the most polluting industries on the planet, and is highly prone to disastrous accidents.
After people have used plastics, be that a container or a bag, they very often trash it, without considering recycling. Plastics stay in landfills (or in the ocean, because half the people in 1st world countries, having been consistently over-educated for 70> years, still can’t figure out why it matters to keep their planet clean) for centuries.
Animals nibble on plastic and die, because oil, the source material for plastics, is toxic for them.
