why are plastics considered environment non friendly

plastics cause havoc to our environment.they fill up landfills, end up litter on land or water, and if animals ate them then they can even chock to death as they have toxic chemicals and most importantly they are non bio degradable so they can survive for thousand of years moreover when burnt they releases toxic gases in our atmosphere. so they are non friendly to our environment.
