why are plastids not preasent in humans??

Plastids are not present in humans as humans doesn't need to produce food from sunlight as we are heterotrophic creatures. Plastids are required in plants as they perform photosynthesis.

plastids are major organelles found in the cells of plants and algae ,,,,,,,,,the presence of plastids constitutes of of the major distinctions between plant and animal cells ..........they are mainly responsible for the photosyntheses

it is not found in animals and humans because of the symbiotic fact that all green plants are autotrophs and humans are heterotrophs..
