why are primartes more intelligent than other mammals

Primates are considered on an average more intelligent than other animals because they have larger brains and cortices. Also they have higher relative cortex volume and neuron packing density. Due to this the information processing capacity is generally higher in primates and have much more cortical neurons than other animals with the same brain size.
