Why are regulated markets more useful for the farmers than unregulated markets

I prefer regulated markets since it goes by the laws and are more useful for farmers than unregulated markets. Unregulated markets are generally against the interests of farmers wherein regulated markets have helped farmers secure fair prices for their produce and to come to the market without the fear of being cheated.

Farmers have to accept whatever price  is offered to them.
