why are rivers important for country's economy

Rivers are a source of providing water to all the states for eg:- as you know that there are some perennial rivers of India as they flow they carry silt particles along with them. These particles get deposited into the rivers leads to mineral-rich water. If a farmer provides this water to fields plants get enough nutrients which in turn increase agricultural production. If this is good then automatically rise in production takes place and thereby replacing starvation and poor economy
