This is because during a storm lot of wind enters into our houses. This air was unable to go out. So it stays inside. When more air is accumulated inside the house, the air should definitely go out so as to facilitate the inflow of air. Thus it goes out from the roof as it is weakest part of the house.

Answer:
Explanation:
During storms winds are blown off due to heavy pressure under the roof. This heavy pressure pushes the roof up and they get blown off. One more reason is that when storms blow the central core of low pressure of it creates a suction which can also blow off winds and make houses collapse too.
