Saprotropes use saprotropes mode of nutrition in which they get nutrition from waste materials . They help in cleaning the environment because they eat the waste substances in the surroundings.

Saprophytes are actually different types of fungus and or microorganisms which grows on the dead and rotten organic matters.

And they decompose,these organic matters by extracting their necessary nutrients and other substances.

That's why they are also known as the "Natural cleaners of the environment."
