smooth muscles are called involuntary muscles because they are not under our control and work at all the time .
differences between striated and smooth muscles -
smooth muscles or unstriated muscles are involuntary , they fatigue quickly whereas skeletal or striated muscles are voluntary, they fatigue slowly.
