Why are sodium and potassium stored in kerosene?

Sodium and potassium are stored in kerosene , because they are more reactive , and can easily react be oxygen and moisture , this cause fire. to avoid this we kept in kerosene.

Sodium and potassium kept under kerosene because kerosene contain no water and protect these metal from being exposed to any moisture in the air that would cause these metal to react potentially violent.
