Soldiers are not instructed to march while crossing bridge because vibration or waves produced by tapping feet can break the bridge as the area of foot is small but large in quantity than the force is narrow and can destroy bridge.

there is nothing about vibration really due to the immense pressure of so many soldiers on the bridge can lead to destruction of the bridge as the area of the shoes of the soldiers is small and force is large which create high pressure
