why are solid incompressible while gases are highly compressinle

coz intermolecular spaces bw solid is minimal whereas it is maximum in gases, that's why they r highly compressible

solid are in compressible bcoz in solid force of attraction is very high and particles are very packed bcoz of this it can't be compressed but in gas there force of attraction is very low and particles are very far away bcoz of which gases are highly compressible...
