some constituencies are small becuz it mainly depends on the density of the people i.e., the total number of members per unit area. so based on that the size of constituencies

Some states have larger number of constituencies and in some areas it is small and it is due to the variation in the number of population.

Explanation:

  • Constituencies are decided based on the number of electorates.
  • The physical extent of the constituency is not taken into consideration rather the number of voters decides a constituency.
  • If a smaller area of constituency has the same number of voters as that of the larger area then both are considered to be legitimate constituencies.
  • Some constituencies are earmarked for the minor subgroups in order to provide equal opportunity to all.
