SOME Earthquakes ARE STRONGER THAN OTHERS THIS IS BECAUSE OF THEIR MAGNITUDE WHICH MEANS THAT IF THE MAGNITUDE OF THE EARTHQUAKE IS LESS THAN 5 then it would not be destructive.BUT IF THE MAGNITUDE OF THE EARTHQUAKE IS MORE THAN 7 THEN IT MAY BE DESTRUCTIVE.
