Why are some environmental problems solved only through joint efforts on an international scale?

Air pollutant like sulfur dioxide and oxides of nitrogen are acidic gases which dissolve in rain water to form acid rain…Which is much more acidic than normal rain?? How will acid rain affect the rate of weathering??

acid rain is harmful due to it contain SO2 in its water the normal rain force the CO2 in the atmosphere to settle down on the land but the acidic rain contain SO2 reacts with the atmospheric CO2 which is harmful for the soil for the human itself
