SATURATED HYDROCARBONS ARE THOSE WHICH HAVE OR MAKE JUST SINGLE BOND BETWEEN THE CARBON ATOMS . THESE TYPE OF HYDROCARBONS ARE ALSO CALLED ALKANES .
UNSATURATED HYDROCARBONS ARE THOSE WHICH HAVE OR MAKE DOUBLE OR TRIPLE BONDS BETWEEN THE CARBON ATOMS THESE ARE ALSO KNOWN AS ALKENES AND ALKYNES .
OUT OF THESE TWO UNSATURATED HYDROCARBONS ARE MORE REACTIVE THAN SATURATED HYDROCARBONS AS UNSATURATED HYDROCARBONS ARE WEAKER THUS THEY ARE EASIER TO BREAK AND HENCE REACT FASTER .
