This happens because of inertia of those leaves. When the tree is shakedit's canopy also moves but because of inertia of the leaves they trend to remain in the same state as a result when the tree is shaked they fall downby the action of gravity

Initially both the tree & the leaves hanging to its branches are in a state of rest.
When the branches of the tree are shaken, it is set into motion while the leaves remain in the state of rest due to inertia of rest.
Thus, the leaves get detached from the branches & fall down due to the pull of gravity.
