Everyone knows that the moon is the only source of natural light in nights. Moon always wanes and waxes through a cycle every month. This in general varies the amount of light from brighter on full moon nights to darker on new moon nights!
Apart from this, some unnatural or artificial source of light do make the nights less darker. Natural phenomenon like clouds, fog and snow tends to reflect the man made light from earth and make to appear the sky as brighter in nights.
Over the Arctic region apart from Moon, northern lights or Aurora do light up the skies during night. These are due to the charged particles from solar emission entering our earth’s atmosphere.
