Ans: Some of the pots and pans are seen having wooden handles. This is because of the fact that wood is an insulator. It cannot acquire the heat easily. Therefore, the wooden handles of pots and pans, when touched, do not appear very hot.

On the other hand, if the handles are made of steel or any other metal, they will acquire the same heat as the body of the pot. Therefore, using wood to make handles of pans and pots is a much safer option.
