Answer:

We should go back a little. When the British declared India independent in 1947, it left the fate of around 562 Princely/Native states not annexed to the British Empire but were subject to subsidiary alliances to the Indian rulers.

Managing these states, making them accede to the Indian sub-continent, and re-organizing them became a complex issue for the Congress government post-Independence.

After the states showed allegiance to the Indian Constitution, Jawaharlal Nehru formed a State Reorganization Committee which realigned states on linguistic basis in 1955. Unfortunately, their assumption that people who spoke the same language stay together peacefully was wrong and things haven’t gone well for either the government or the people.

Hope it helps

Best luck buddy

Answer:

Smaller states signify empowerment of common people. ... Re-distribution of tax and other resources ensures that money and resources are being utilized for the overall development of the entire state rather than being concentrated on a few areas.
