- Biodegradable substances are those that degrades or break down naturally.
- Materials like plants, animals, their waste, paper, fruits, flowers, vegetables fall under biodegradable substances
WHAT ARE NON- BIODEGRADABLE SUBSTANCES?
- Some substances are non biodegradable because they are synthetic and cannot be decomposed by the microorganism.
- Rubber, plastic, chemicals, paint plastic falls under the category of the non-biodegradable items

Those substance which get degrades or break down naturally is called biodegradable substances.
example : vegetables peels , paper etc.
Those substance which does not get decades or break down naturally even after a long time is called non biodegradable substances.
example : plastic , glass , rubber etc.
