why are some substances biodegradable and non biodegradable

This is because this earth is composed of biotic and non- biotic organisms. Organisms which re decomposed in soil for natures good re biodegradable and which re not re non-biodegradable.

Substances are of two types biodegradable and non biodegradable. The substance which can decompose by the decomposers are called biodegradable substance.

Whereas the substance which are not decompose by the decomposers are called non biodegradable substance.

The natural substance are biodegradable and the man made substance are mostly non biodegradable.
