Why are stainless steel cover with a copper bottom? Why?

stainless steels are not always covered with a copper bottom. Steels can be plated in copper by dipping them in copper sulphate solution. It is to avoid rust on it. But stainless steel doesnot produce ferric oxide or rust. They are colored or galvanized,done electrolysisvand sometimes given a copper plate
