Why are stomata found in a plant? State three function?

There are small openings on the lower surface of the leaves . These pores are called Stomata. These openings are surrounded by guard cells.
Functions of stomata:
1. They help in exchange of gases.
2.It helps in transpiration of water.
3.Loss of water from Stomata creates an upward pull.
