✪ Stomata is present in lower surface of leaves as if it was present in upper surface, there is a chance of increase in rate of transpiration i.e water loss due to sunlight.

The number of Stomata is more in the lower surface of the leaf rather than on the upper surface.
This reduces the rate of transpiration and minimizes the loss of water by the plant.
