Why are stomata useful to plants ?

stomata useful for plants for photosynthesis and the plants live by photosynthesis only

Stomata are tiny pores , which help in the exchange of gas( oxygen and carbon dioxide) during respiration and photosynthesis. Excess water is lost from the leaves through stomata during transpiration.
