Why are testes located outside the body cavity in scrotum?

Anonymous: because the secretion of sperms requires a relatively lower temperature than the temperature required for other body functions
Anonymous: ...hope this helps...

Testes are located outside the body as the sperms need proper temperature and can even damage in the warm temperature inside the body.

For formation of sperm less temperature is needed.
