Why are the alpha hydrogens of aldehydes and ketones so acidic?

Since they are directly bonded to O which is highly electronegative. It shifts electron cloud to itself making H acidic.

Alpha hydrogen are those hydrogens which are attached to the alpha carbon abd alpha carbon is that carbon which is attached to the functional group.
