The amazon forest called the lungs of the earth because we all know that its a forest which covered a large area on the earth so, it produces oxygen in large amount and take carbon dioxide as compared to another forest as well.

Because most of the forests are found there and as Trees in forest provide oxygen they are called lungs of the forest
