why are the cells in which electrons revolve called energy shells? name them shell's

Because when an electron gains enough energy (usually done by introducing electricity) it rises to the next energy level because the electrons have some energy due to that energy they revolve in the shells that's why it is called energy shell.

because each shell has fixed amount of energy. and it revolves neither accepting nor losing energy that mean it has fixed energy
