Mothers with rh positive blood group have rh antigens on the rbc surface. In case the child is rh positive, no difficulty arises. But incase the child is rh negative, then too erythroblastosis foetalis condition cannot arise as the rbc of foetus does not have anything against which the mother would prepare antibodies since the child lacks rh antigen.
