The conductors of electric heating devices such as toaster, etc. are made up of alloys rather than pure metals as the pure metals are very good conductors of electricity... and alloys are the mixtures of a non-metal and a metal.... Simply they r made up of alloys so that we will not get current by touching them.... To protect us from getting electric shocks..

b) The conductors of electric heating devices such as bread toasters and electric irons are made of alloy because
◾resistivity of an alloy is more than that of metals.
◾It produces large amount of heat and do not burn easily.
