Why are the danger signal red in colour

Red colour is the colour which scatters the least or u can also that it do not scatters much as blue colour do in the sky. Since red colour doesn't scatters so it can be seen from a far distance as well, that's why it is used as the sign of danger so that if someone is in problem so he/she can indicate before hand by red colour . For eg. --->> If railway track has any problem and a train is coming, then people wave red colour clothes so that the train driver gets a hint that it is danger for him and the whole train if he doesn't stops and so he stops....... This is the only reason why red colour is also used as traffic signal light which means stops as it can be seen from a far distance.

HI

Red-coloured light is least scattered by fog or smoke.So, it can be seen from a long distance.Therefore, danger signal lights are red in colour.
