why are the day blooming flowers usullay brightly coloured whereas the night blooming flowers are stongly scented

Day blooming flowers have brightly coloured petals as well as nectar andscent to attract the pollinators. Insects such as moth help in pollination ofnight blooming flowers. White or lightcolours are more clearly observed in low light conditions. ... Night blooming flowers also produce scent to attract the pollinators.
