1.Our land is blessed with a lot of water bodies. One side of Kerala is covered with Arabian sea. There are 44 rivers flowing through Kerala. These are the main sources of fishes and many people are depending fishing as living.

2.Coconut tree is the official tree of Kerala since it is seen everywhere. Even in my backyard, we have 3 coconut trees. Coir is the byproduct of coconut fibrous husk. There are some procedures for deriving coir. Coir making is also provides a good living for Keralites.

3.The government is providing immense support for these industries.
