Floor tiles must be having less level of friction to make it safe to walk. This is called coefficient of Friction or COF, Wall tiles can be as slick as glass. the coefficient of friction is 0.50 or greater than this value.
In bath room, more friction tile is required and this roughness is created by a machine, which makes it friction full and prevents slipping because in bathroom we use water and because of this slipping tendency increases that ia why we use different tiles in bathroom than living room
