▪ Latin and most of North Indian languages belongs to Indo-European family of languages. Even though English is Western Germanic language family , foundations of English grammar and phonology is Latin. Hence, both languages have slightly common phonology.

▪ Loanwords from indian languages. Eg: Curry, Are yaar(added to Oxford English dictionary few years back).

▪ Origin of certain words in English is Sanskrit. Eg: Sarp(Sanskrit)===》Serpent(English/Latin)
