#Hello Mate#

• A heterotroph is an organism that cannot produce its own food, relying instead on the intake of nutrition from other sources of organic carbon, mainly plant or animal matter.

• So insectivorous plants take food as insects from there sorrounding , that's why these insectivorous plants are known as Heterotrophs.

• Some examples are Venus flytrap, California pitcher plant, Round leaved sundew, Purple pitcher plant etc.
