Why are the northern plains agricultturing in productive part of India

in the northern plains the alluvial soil is found which is very fertile and rich in humus and as it lies in ganga river region the availability of water is good so more crops are produced. the frequency of rainfall is good and moderate climate supports cultivation .so the northern plains have more production.
