Why are the peninsular plateaus non perennial

The peninsular rivers are not perennial because they are rainfall dependent. As you know that the rainfall pattern in not fixed so they dry out during summers

Peninsular rivers are non-perennial. They don't flow throughout the year. Because they depends upon the rainfall. As they are not originated from the Himalayas they are not perennial.
