Due to latitude. latitude divide earth in several sections. equators receive most sin rays and thus are hot regions whereas as we go towards extreme North and South of earth, the temp. decrease.

The regions away from the equator cooler than the near equator because the rays of sunlight fall to the equator. The slanting sun rays fall in poles which is away from equator.
