why are the river in peninsular plateaus non-perennial?

Because the area near the Peninsular Plateau and the region here is very dry and warm so the rivers flowing here such as Godavari Mahanadi Krishna and Kaveri are seasonal and not flow throughout the year and only flow in the monsoons and early winters.
