why are the rivers of peninsular plateaus non-perennial?

Rivers of peninsular plateaus are non-perenial because they do not have water through out the year as compared to the hymalayan rivers

Peninsular rivers are non-perennial. They don't flow throughout the year. Because they depends upon the rainfall. As they are not originated from the Himalayas they are not perennial.
