Why are the series arrangement not use for domestic circuit?

1) in a series arrangement the current is constant through the circuit
2) in series arrangements if one of the component fails, the circuit is broken and other
devices stop working
3) in series arrangement all appliances cannot be independently turn on or off
4) in series arrangement the overall resistance of the circuit increases too-much due to which current from power supply is low

In series arrangement , if one of the component fails , the circuit is broken and other devices stop working so that's why series arrangement is not used for domestic circuits..
