The small number of tigers is a cause of worry because once they get extinct, there genes will be lost forever.
Then we would not be able to get their genes.

Answer:
It is cause of worry for genetics because it makes them less linked to the environment. Thus the process of natural selection takes place slowly. Due to this they do not get better adapted to their environment thus the beneficial variations donot take place in them at the time of sexual reproduction. Thus making their survival hard and this lead to their extinction also where there Gene's lost forever.
